Helen Aagot Engh went to live with her aunt and uncle, Anne Kirstine Andersdatter and Hans Gundersen in Moss, Ostfold, Norway before 1900. Her parents are both listed on the 1900 Kristiania census.She later came to America and was raised by the Moore family, whose name she adopted.

Helen Aagot Engh went to live with her aunt and uncle, Anne Kirstine Andersdatter and Hans Gundersen in Moss, Ostfold, Norway before coming to the US. Her parents are both listed on the 1900 Kristiania census. In 1906 she immigrated to America and was raised by the Moore family, whose name she adopted. She was educated in Aberdeen, SD and taught school there at least 1 year. She later moved to Minneapolis and sent for her sister, Ebba. She married Daniel Bolstad (Jensen) Conrad. Daniels' brother, Joseph married Helen's siter, Ebba, in a double ceremony.
